OSAKA, JAPAN. Smart enhancements make Onkyo’s base TX-SR373 5.1-Channel A/V Receiver an even more competent hub for creating a theater-like surround-sound environment in smaller spaces. Easy to use, easy to connect, and focused on high-quality reproduction of music, games, and broadcast TV as well as movie soundtracks, the TX-SR373 delivers an authentic stereo or surround-sound experience without stress or expense.

The TX-SR373 produces an enveloping surround field from lossless DTS-HD Master Audio™ and Dolby® TrueHD multichannel formats with discrete analog amplification producing 135 W/Ch (6 Ohms, 1 kHz, 1% THD, 1-channel driven) for thrilling dynamics and plenty of muscle to drive a bookshelf- or micro-speaker system.

The receiver features up-to-date Bluetooth wireless technology to stream app-based audio from mobile devices and laptops to the home theater in moments.

Advanced Music Optimizer, an original DSP listening program that enriches compressed audio playback (such as MP3/AAC/WMA formats from a connected USB memory device) is also available for Bluetooth streaming audio. A selection of listening modes further enhance different types of content, including Direct Mode for high-quality sources such as SACD over HDMI® or CD via pairs of digital or analog audio inputs.

For the first time at this price, Onkyo includes AccuEQ Room Calibration technology, which sets speaker distances according to listening position, adjusts output, selects crossover for the subwoofer, and performs audio equalization. The result is balanced sound in any space.

Neatly integrating peripherals such as game consoles, media players, and Blu-ray Disc™ players via HDMI inputs supporting HDR10, HDCP 2.2, and 4K/60p video pass-through, the receiver links to the display via one cable for invisible installation inside AV furniture.

Other features include two composite video inputs for legacy game consoles or VCRs, AM/FM radio tuner with 30 memory presets, and a full-sized remote controller to compliment finger-friendly buttons on the front panel.

The well-organized rear panel, meanwhile, has printed illustrations to simplify initial connection. From there, users can relax and enjoy as thin TV and mobile phone sound is transformed into a room-filling sonic experience, making every day more enjoyable.
