Onkyos proprietary audio technologies,
such as WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology), VLSC (Vector Linear
Shaping Circuitry) and VL (Vector Linear) Digital, provide the
audio quality that defines the Onkyo sounda sound thats
meant to be felt, not just heard. Whats more, we incorporate
into our home theater and audio components only the best technologies
from elsewhere in the A/V industryincluding those from Reon-VX,
THX, Dolby Digital, DTS, HDMI, and Audyssey.

WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology)
An amplifier design that achieves more powerful,
cleaner audio signals through three key factors:
(1) A low negative-feedback design; (2) Closed
ground loop circuits; and (3) A high instantaneous
current capability.
|
 |
Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry
Adjusts the gain to reduce attenuation by more
than 50%, ensuring that signals never come close
to the noise floor.
|
 |
Time Base Corrector (TBC)
Corrects inconsistencies in the video signal
timing to preserve the sharpness and detail of
images.
|
 |
Non-Scaling Configuration
In the absence of a subwoofer, the LFE signal
is not scaled, resulting in a full-bit conversion
being passed on to your speakers with no reduction
in fidelity.
|
 |
Pure Stream Power Supply
Brings the lowest possible impedance and superior
transient response often found lacking in digital
switching amplifiers.
|
 |
Wide-Ranging Crossover Adjustment
Enables adjustment of the frequency at which
the subwoofer takes over from the front speakers,
giving you more precise reproduction of movie
soundtracks.
|
 |
CinemaFILTER
Restores the correct tonal balance of a movie
soundtrack in the smaller environs of your home.
|
 |
Remote Interactive (RI) Capability
Integrates, and enables operation of, all compatible
components through a single remote control. It
also gives you the capability to integrate the
iPod into your system through an Onkyo iPod Dock.
|
 |
IntelliVolume
Customizes the input volume settings for all
inputs connected to the A/V receiver. You can
vary the settings from -12dB to 12dB to achieve
even levels when switching from one component
to another.
|
 |
Pure Audio Mode
Turns off unnecessary circuitry to isolate any
interference to audio signals.
|
 |
A/V Sync Control Function
Delays the audio signal to synchronize the audio
and video signals when viewing progressive scan
sources.
|
 |
Multi-Format
Playback Capability
A wide range of playback formats are accepted
(depending on the player), including DVD video,
PCM audio, DVD Audio, Super Audio CD, MP3, WMA,
DivX, JPEG and HD JPEG.
|
 |
Progressive
Scan Video Capability
Improves visual quality by displaying full-screen
images in sequence, rather than alternating between
half-screen interlaced images.
|
 |
Quick
Navigation for Video and Audio Playback
Various preferences can be selected to help you
easily find and play back audio and (for DVD players
only) video discs, including DVD, PCM CD, Super
Audio CD, and MP3-/WMA-/JPEG-encoded CDs (depending
on your components capabilities).
|
 |
Super Precision Clock
An extremely precise clocking mechanism to control
and coordinate the timing of all digital signal
processes.
|
 |
A-OMF Monocoque Diaphragm
A-OMF Monocoque shares the same composition as
A-OMF but forms a single, continuous cover over
the entire surface of the cone (including the
center cap).
|
 |
Aero Acoustic Drive
This ductthe Aero Acoustic Driveeffectively
separates low and high frequency sounds, thereby
ensuring a more powerful and natural sound from
bass reflex speakers.
|
 |
V-Line Edge
Removes any unwanted vibrations that can adversely
affect sound quality.
|
 |
Net-Tune
Connects a network-ready receiver to a computer
to play back MP3, WMA or WAV files, as well as
to access internet radio.
