With Onkyo’s latest Dock for the iPod, it’s now easy to incorporate the iPhone into your home entertainment system. The UP-A1 helps to expand the possibilities for enjoying your iPhone or iPod’s music, movies, TV shows, music videos, and video podcasts. It draws a steady power supply from your compatible Onkyo AV receiver* via the same convenient cable that delivers video and audio signals to the receiver. The UP-A1 also offers handy features found on previous Onkyo docks: recharging capability; onscreen display for content navigation and selection; and remote operability via your A/V receiver’s remote controller. Integrating the iPhone and iPod Family with Onkyo Systems
The UP-A1 is the first Onkyo dock capable of linking the iPhone and iPhone 3G to compatible Onkyo A/V systems. It can also accommodate the iPod touch (1st and 2nd generations), the iPod classic, 4th and 5th generation iPod models, the iPod nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations), the iPod photo, and the iPod mini.
Easy Connecting via Universal Port
A single cable, featuring a proprietary 24-pin jack, connects the UP-A1 to your compatible Onkyo A/V receiver. As well as carrying audio and video signals from the dock to the receiver, the cable delivers a steady power supply from the receiver to the dock. This way, you don’t need to worry about an extra power cable cluttering up your entertainment space. The port also carries RI (Remote Interactive) signals, so that you can operate the UP-A1 via your A/V receiver’s remote controller.
iPod/iPhone Video Playback
Connecting your compatible iPhone or iPod to the UP-A1 allows you to view your stored movies, music videos, TV shows, and video podcasts on a connected display. The UP-A1 facilitates a stable, high-quality video signal output at a resolution of up to 1080i. It supports 480i and 576i output from current models of the iPhone and iPod touch (1st generation), as well as 480p and 576p from the iPod nano (3rd and 4th generations), and iPod classic.
