Introduction
Simply place your iPod in the DS-A1 Remote Interactive Dock connected to any Onkyo RI-compatible receiver to experience the powerfully rich sound of Onkyo audio components. Control your music from your RI remote and charge your iPod while you enjoy your iPod’s digital music—and photos—through the brilliance of Onkyo’s “Imaginative Sight and Sound”.
Features

Remote Control Operation

Any remote controller included with an RI-compatible amplifier, A/V center or system component enables operation of basic iPod functions such as Volume control, Play, Stop and Skip.
Connection Set Up Image

Simultaneous Start-up

The RI Dock enables simultaneous booting up of the iPod and your Onkyo system's amplifier.

Direct Change

When playback is initiated on your iPod, the amplifier's input selector automatically switches to the iPod.

Timer Play/Sleep Timer Function

The Timer Play function enables you to use your Onkyo system's timer to play back your iPod at a time of your choosing. The Sleep Timer, meanwhile, lets you switch the unit to Standby mode after a specified interval.

Play from Playlists/Repeat/Random

These functions allow you to play tunes from your playlists or switch to other modes such as Repeat and Random, all of which are set up in your iPod.

iPod Alarm Function

Using the Alarm function set up on your iPod, you can make your Onkyo system's amplifier launch automatically and start playing at a specified time.

Note: Certain functions listed above may be unavailable, depending on the capabilities of the connected Onkyo system.

The RI Dock can interface with most RI remote-controlled Onkyo components featuring input terminals such as MD, TAPE, CDR or HDD on the amplifier section. RI-compatible components include amplifiers, AV centers, home theater systems and all-in-one component systems.

Using iPod nano with Onkyo DS-A1

An iPod nano using firmware version 1.2 may cause an amplifier connected via the DS-A1 to inadvertently power on or switch inputs. In such cases, simply turn off both the iPod nano and the connected amplifier.
